The Art Star Award: Ava Asmus 

​

"As recipient of the Art Star Award, Ava has shown her dedication to Art both in and out of the classroom. Not only has she completed three Art Courses in her high school career, but also came to the art room on her own time to work on personal artwork as well as her piece for Student Showcase. Her commitment and leadership in Art is evident, as she has served as the 2019-2020 President of National Art Honor Society after joining NAHS in 2017 as a Sophomore."

ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT
Mr. Casey Christensen 

For these awards, the athletic director presents a list of nominees to varsity coaches for a vote. The awards are intended for three sport athletes, and if no three sport athletes exist, then two sport athletes are considered. Criteria include number of sports played (JV and Varsity), letters earned, all conference, district, area, regional and state recognitions. The awards also factors in work ethic, coachability, leadership skills, and sportsmanship. Academics are to be considered only if there are no clear choices.

Top Female Athlete Plaque: Calvin’Nae Simmons


“Calvin'Nae earned a total of twelve varsity letters in volleyball, basketball, soccer, track, and cheer. She was All-Conference, All-Area, All-Region, and honorable mention All-State in volleyball her senior year while eclipsing the 500 career kills mark. She was three times a captain of the cheer team, played a year of soccer, and was a state qualifier in track and field.”

 

Top Male Athlete Plaque: Nolan Convertini

 

“Nolan was a four year varsity athlete in three sports (football, hockey, baseball) for a total of twelve letters. He was a member of the 2016 football state championship team and earned All-Conference honors three times, as well as MLive First Team All-Area two times . In hockey, he earned All-Conference (OK Conference) honors two times and All-Conference and All-District in baseball.”
